Our Purpose

Love God.

We exist to love God with all our hearts and love our neighbors as ourselves.

Grow Deeper.

We desire to grow deeper in our relationship with Jesus and in our knowledge of his will for our lives.

Share Jesus.

We are called to share the good news of Jesus and serve others in his name.

What We Believe

God

He is the one supreme and perfect being who has existed eternally in the triune relationship of Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
(Matthew 28:19; John 1:1-14; 2 Corinthians 13:14).

Jesus Christ

The sinless and one-and-only Son of God willingly died on a cross, paying the penalty for our sins. Raised from the dead on the third day, he lives and reigns today as the King of kings, and the Lord of lords.
(1 Corinthians 15; Revelation 5)

The Holy Spirit

Jesus abides with believers through the "gift of the Holy Spirit." This indwelling presence empowers Jesus' disciples in living lives that please and glorify God.
(Acts 2; Romans 8)

The Bible

God's will for us is revealed in the written Word - "Scripture" - originally given through human messengers under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. The ultimate revelation of God is Jesus Christ himself!
(2 Timothy 3)

Worship

Our Sunday worship gatherings are a priority, expressing our love for each other, and our devotion for the Lord. Weekly, we join our voices in a cappella singing, encounter his Word, and remember Jesus' love for us in the Lord's Supper.
(Acts 20; 1 Corinthians 10-11)

Salvation

We are rescued from the consequences of sin by God’s grace through Jesus, relying upon his mercy for our forgiveness. Nothing we do in obedience or service adds any merit to the cross. An outward expression of our faith and repentance, we humbly accept this undeserved gift through baptism.
(Acts 2; Ephesians 2; Galatians 3)

Service

Jesus came to offer his life and gave himself up in death, as a servant. Jesus calls us to reflect his life as we serve others in his name and by his power. We do this because we love God and others, motivated by his love for us.
(Philippians 2)

Our Seven Core Values

1.

Love for God

Jesus said the greatest commandment is to love God with all our being. Flowing from this is another commandment: Love your neighbor as yourself. Our most basic call is to love God and love people.

2.

Biblical Focus

We place a high value upon relevant and practical Christ-centered teaching and learning in our Bible classes and gatherings. Ultimately, all Scripture leads to Jesus, the true "Bread of Life."

3.

Integrity

We want to be a people who "practice what we preach," living consistently with our beliefs. While realizing we will inevitably fall short of God's perfect will, we always aim to do our best.

4.

Leadership

Without an effective, collaborative, and optimistic leadership team, Christ's church cannot reach her full potential. Elders, deacons, staff, and other leaders work together as "team players" for the good of the body.

5.

Unity in Diversity

We belong to one body, but individual members of our congregation have different backgrounds, experiences, and gifts. As a diverse church family, we seek to maintain the unity of the Spirit as we serve the needs of everyone. Our love for each other is a powerful witness to the world.

6.

Excellence in Worship

All participants, planners, and leaders in our worship assemblies strive for excellence. Prayerful preparation, heartfelt expressiveness, and personal engagement are marks of a worship experience that will bless us and give praise to God, who is worthy.

7.

Hospitality

We create an atmosphere, which grows from our love for God and others, that is sensitive and helpful to seekers who are exploring next steps in their faith journey. We welcome all guests with open arms.
